Camp Life:

Travel Services

Camp families are responsible for getting campers (and their instruments) to and from camp.  We know that there are so many things to think about when planning your trip to camp but we hope the resources below will make getting here a little easier.

Airport and bus transportation

We are unable to offer pickup and drop off at the airport or bus stations this year.  However, we are hoping to partner with a local service to provide discounted shuttles.  Please check back for more information.  We are located approximately 10 minutes from the airport, and students in the past have found taxis and uber to be the most economical options. The Red Coach bus does have an on-campus stop.

Extra Nights of Housing

We offer extra nights of housing in the dorm to help make your arrival and departure more flexible.  If you are attending consecutive sessions and want to stay on campus during the night in-between, you will need to purchase an extra night of housing.   The extra night is $50.00 and includes the extra housing, extra meals and supervision.  You can indicate you need for an extra night on your Housing, Dining and Travel Form.

DRIVING AND PARKING INFORMATION

University Lots are available for parking without a parking permit everyday AFTER 4:30pm and all day Saturday and Sunday, so most people do not need to worry about parking passes.  But for directions to campus and additional parking information, see below.

How To Arrange For Extra Nights

Overnight campers who drive themselves to camp do NOT need to purchase a parking permit. Students will receive a free parking permit for the Southgate Parking Garage where they may leave their car for the duration of camp. Students are not allowed to drive during camp and will need to turn in their keys to the dorm staff upon arrival.

This lot, located directly across from the College of Music on Copeland Street, is privately owned and requires a parking permit at all times. They actively tow. DO NOT PARK HERE unless you receive a specific permit from us to park there.
