Ensembles

Chamber Music

Chamber ensembles are organized throughout the school year offering students greater musical focus and exposure. These groups are organized for strings, woodwinds, brasses, percussion, voices, and a variety of mixed media and are coached by our amazing faculty. Extensive experience in chamber music is an integral part of performance and required for all first- and second-year woodwind, brass, and string players.  These formed chamber groups play often on campus and also engage the greater community in a wide variety of paid concerts and appearances.  Each year, the College of Music holds a competition in performance and entrepreneurship, selecting students to perform in iconic venues like Carnegie Hall and also develop outreach and engagement initiatives in the community.  Chamber music is perfect for developing  the entrepreneurial and leadership skills essential as students build their musical careers.
