Camp Features

Large Ensemble
Campers will play in a morning string orchestra, and the Philharmonic or Symphony Orchestra in the afternoon.

Sectionals, Masterclasses, Chamber Ensembles, and Music Theory
In addition to orchestra rehearsals, campers will attend sectionals, take music theory, play in small chamber ensembles, and participate in masterclasses.

Final Performances
All campers will perform in two final performances at the end of the session; a Chamber Ensembles Concert on Friday at 7:00pm, and String Orchestra Final Performance on Saturday at 9:00am.

Two Opportunities To Attend
This camp will be offered during two separate sessions. Each one-week session is structured the same; they will feature the same classes and instructors and will have similar recreation schedules. The only difference will be that new music will be played each week. If you wish to attend both sessions, great!  You can choose to check-out after the conclusion of the first session and check-in on Sunday for the start of session two, or you can stay on campus for the extra night for a small fee which covers the extra night, extra meals and counselor supervision.  Read more about Extra Nights of Housing.

Evening Activities
Activities are planned for each evening and will include movie nights, faculty and staff recitals, and recreation activities.  A full recreation schedule will be provided two weeks before camp begins.

All campers must bring their instrument with them to camp. If you do not own your own instrument, we suggest speaking with your music teacher about borrowing your school instrument for the duration of camp.
