Tallahassee Regional Music Collection

About

The Tallahassee Regional Music Collection (TRMC) is an ongoing endeavor to preserve and make accessible recorded audio, artifacts, and more created by artists who have ties to the Tallahassee region. It is an opportunity both for artists to preserve their musical output and for the community to learn and engage with the region’s rich music scene past and present. The TRMC is a collaboration between the Warren D. Allen Music Library (AML) and the Center for Music of the Americas (CMA) at FSU.

Scope

We loosely define the “Tallahassee region” as the Franklin, Gadsden, Gulf, Jefferson, Leon, Liberty, and Wakulla counties in Florida and welcome additions to the collection from artists with ties to the area. We accept audio and video recordings (both commercially released and unreleased), posters, flyers, pictures, setlists, books, zines, written musical scores and compositions, and bios. We are currently working on setting up a digital platform for the community to engage with these materials online as well as physically.
