We believe that music should be available to everyone.
Here are some ways to help make camp more affordable.

Online Early Bird Discount - EXPIRED

First 200 registrations

The Early Bird Discount is applied automatically to the first 200 ONLINE camp registrations in the amount of $25.00 off of camps of at least 5 nights or $50.00 off of camps of 7 nights or more.  

THIS DISCOUNT HAS ALREADY EXPIRED FOR 2018.


Ability Discounts

Application Deadline February 20, 2018

Ability Discounts require interested campers to submit an audio recording, resumé and application form which will be reviewed by FSU Faculty members for varying amounts in discounts. Discounts range in amounts based on factors that include available funding, performance score, resumé, activities, length of camp, age, experience and other discounts being received.


All-State and Tri-State Event Discounts

First-Come First-Served UNTIL FUNDS ARE DEPLETED OR FINAL Deadline OF MARCH 1, 2018 

If you attended either the 2018 Florida All-State Conference in Tampa, FL or the 2017 FSU Tri-State Festival AND your name appears in the event program, you are eligible to apply for an All-State/Tri-State Event Discount.  The discount amount is $50.00 off of certain camps that are 6 nights or less, or $100.00 off of certain camps that are 7 nights or more.


Matching Discounts

APPLICATION Deadline IS MARCH 1, 2018 for all ELIGIBLE camps except MBL&CGC (see beow)

2-to-1 Matching Discounts are offered to students who are receiving a scholarship from an accredited organization outside of FSU. FSU Summer Music Camps will contribute $.50 for every $1.00 that an accredited organization awards the student up to a maximum of $50.00 for certain camps of at least 5 nights, and a maximum of $100.00 for certain camps that are 7 nights or more.


Workshop Discounts

First-Come First-Served UNTIL FUNDS ARE DEPLETED OR Final Deadline MARCH 1, 2018 

If you register for & attend one of the combinations of camps below, you are eligible for a discount off of the Large Ensemble Camp tuition. The discounts and their values are as follows:

Tuba & Euphonium Workshop AND Middle School Band Camp $75 off of Middle School Band Camp tuition

FSU Faculty/Staff Discounts

First-Come First-Served UNTIL FUNDS ARE DEPLETED OR Final Deadline MARCH 1, 2018 

Any full-time FSU faculty, FSU staff member, or any direct employee of the camps who is a PARENT of the registered camp is eligible for a discount in the amount is $25.00 off of one camp per camper that is at least 5 nights, or $50.00 off of one camp per camper that is 7 nights or more for qualifying camps.


OUTSIDE SCHOLARSHIP: Tau Beta Sigma

Deadline: April 16, 2018

Tau Beta Sigma is a National Honorary Band Sorority which provides service to collegiate bands, encourages the advancement of women in the band profession, and promotes and enriches an appreciation of band music through recognition, leadership development, and education of its members. Several scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $150.00 by the Alpha Omega chapter of Tau Beta Sigma to female students currently in band.

This scholarship is offered by an outside organization and is not managed by or reviewed by the Summer Music Camps.   The FSU Summer Music Camps is not responsible for the selection or notification of award winners.

 

OUTSIDE SCHOLARSHIP: Bach With A Beat

Bach With A Beat is a chorus in The Villages, Florida.  Their mission is to entertain, inspire and educate audiences (and themselves) about the beauty of choral music - classical to contemporary. This 50-member ensemble is comprised of music lovers who are retired educators, church choir members, and former professional musicians.

Bach With A Beat is sponsoring up to four scholarships for the Choral Ensemble Camp for the summer of 2017 for residents in the Florida counties of Sumter, Marion, and Lake, based on financial need.

This scholarship is offered by an outside organization and is not managed by or reviewed by the Summer Music Camps.   The FSU Summer Music Camps is not responsible for the selection or notification of award winners.


OUTSIDE SCHOLARSHIP: Kappa Kappa Psi

Deadline: May 25, 2018

Kappa Kappa Psi is a fraternal organization that promotes the advancement of college and university bands through dedicated service and support to bands; comprehensive education; leadership opportunities; and recognition; for the benefit of its members and society.

In 2018, one scholarship in the amount of $200.00 will be awarded by the Gamma Nu chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi to a High School Student currently in a band. The awards will be applied as a discount on the recipient's camp fees. The deadline for application submissions is Friday, May 25, 2018 at 11:59 pm.
