“From Opera to Broadway: The Art of the Crossover”

A workshop for classically trained singers
to gain the skills necessary to work in Musical Theatre.

Hosted by the College of Music at Florida State University

This three day intensive workshop will give singers the opportunity to build the technique necessary to be marketable in the world of musical theatre. Through daily classes, individual lessons, masterclasses, and guest workshops, students will be given the tools they need to begin crossover work.

Classes will include: Vocal technique, building a repertoire book, audition techniques, and dance call preparation.

Guest speakers will include a casting director as well as performers who have been successful in crossing over with experience on Broadway and in national tours.

Registration is $400 with on campus housing available for $50/night.
