Maximizing and diversifying the student experience
The College of Music at FSU is committed to creating and maintaining a supportive environment where members of our community can thrive regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, cultural or socio-economic background, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, age, or family status. Our faculty and staff are engaged in ongoing processes that re-examine curriculum, policies, and practices to better ensure equal opportunity for all people.
The College of Music has instituted an Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA) Committee to ensure that the College is thoughtful, intentional, and deliberate in its policies and procedures regarding diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility. The IDEA Committee’s focus is on hiring practices, curriculum and programming, and representation in the College.
