Under the direction of Dr. Patrick Dunnigan, the University Wind Orchestra presents an evening of music by Richard Strauss, John Mackey, and David Maslanka. The concert opens with ‘Fanfare for the Vienna Philharmonic’ by Strauss. Then two works by the renowned John Mackey; ‘A Deep Reverberation Fills with Stars’ and ‘Divine Mischief,’ a new concerto for clarinet performed by faculty clarinet professor Dr. Deborah Bish. The second half is a performance of the monumental ‘Symphony No. 4’ by David Maslanka. Special guests include composer John Mackey and FSU faculty professor of harp Dr. Noël Wan.
