The Saturday’s Sorrow is a 2-act opera chronicling the journey of Jesus Christ’s crucifixion, told from the perspective of Mary the Mother and Mary Magdalene on the day after the crucifixion. In this recounting we see the sorrow and humanity present in these popular biblical figures.
