The Florida State University College of Music is proud to announce the upcoming Florida tour of the illustrious University Wind Ensemble. Under the direction of Dr. Patrick Dunnigan, the ensemble will bring its world-class artistry to four premier venues across the Sunshine State from February 17 through February 20.
The tour showcases the technical mastery and expressive depth of FSU’s finest wind and percussion instrumentalists. This year’s itinerary includes a debut performance at one of the world’s most acoustically perfect concert halls in Orlando and concludes in a featured performance at a major regional conference in Tampa. The tour will feature three world premieres of new music by Jennifer Jolley, Viet Cuong, and Thomas Singletary – all commissioned by the College of Music. The Wind Ensemble will be joined by FSU faculty Marcy Stonikas (soprano) and Matthew Hightower (tuba).

About the University Wind Ensemble
The FSU Wind Ensemble is one of five concert wind bands at the Florida State University College of Music. Led by Dr. Patrick Dunnigan, the mostly-undergraduate student ensemble has been recognized for its performances of standard repertoire and contemporary works. The 2026 tour culminates in a prestigious invitation to perform for the College Band Directors National Association (CBDNA) Southern Division Conference, highlighting FSU’s role as a leader in collegiate music education and performance.
