Housewright Virtuoso Series – Symposium: Studying Music in the Post-truth Era

This symposium will focus on the limits of knowledge frameworks for music studies in our moment of global transformation. It will feature world-renowned scholars, including Andrew Chung from the University of North Texas, Paula Harper from the University of Chicago, and Gavin Steingo from Princeton University. The panelists will discuss their cutting-edge work on music and the Anthropocene, digital virality, and interspecies communication. Together, we will seek to understand how music is both shaped by and produces dramatic changes in our contemporary world.
