Marking the Carlisle Floyd centennial, FSU Opera joins Houston Grand Opera, Kansas City Opera, and Des Moines Opera Theatre as the only collegiate member of this consortium of professional opera companies for this special production. Composed while Floyd was on the FSU faculty, Of Mice and Men brings Steinbeck’s story to life, following Lennie and George’s fragile dreams as friendship and hardship collide in a heartbreaking end.
