Introducing: Dr. Anna Dmytrenko

Petite young woman with dark hair staring intently at camera

The College of Music is delighted to announce the appointment of the internationally acclaimed Ukrainian-American pianist Anna Dmytrenko to our keyboard faculty. Praised for her elegant refinement and keyboard mastery, Dmytrenko joins FSU following a distinguished international career that includes prize-winning performances at the Manhattan, Cantu, and Olga Kern International Piano Competitions, as well as appearances on historic stages like Carnegie Hall and the Paris Philharmonie. Beyond her formidable performance credentials—which include conducting the Orchestre de Chambre de Paris from the keyboard—Dmytrenko is a deeply committed scholar and cultural advocate whose dedication reflects a broader artistic vision: using music not only as a vehicle for personal expression, but also as a means of celebrating cultural heritage and fostering community through the arts. Her versatile background, bridging international performance, extensive pedagogical research, and leadership training from Harvard Business School, will inspire and deeply enrich our piano department.
