Florida State University’s Preview@FSU program returns for its third year with a provocative and darkly comedic new musical, Fountain of You. The production will hold two public workshop performances on February 6 and 7, 2026, at 7:30 pm in the Conradi Studio Theatre.
Fountain of You follows an actress who, tired of the industry’s rigid age limits, undergoes a radical, “wild” spa treatment to defy time itself. What begins as a quest for rejuvenation spirals into a gripping journey toward power and equality—but as she soon discovers, staying “forever young” comes at a steep price.
This residency brings together a powerhouse trio of creators to collaborate with FSU students:
Tasha Gordon-Solmon (Director, Book, & Lyrics): A celebrated playwright and director whose work has been featured at the Humana Festival, Ars Nova, and the O’Neill National Music Theater Conference.
Faye Chiao (Music): An OPERA America award-winning composer whose commissions include Houston Grand Opera and the New Victory Theater.
Irene Kim (Music Director): An internationally acclaimed keyboardist who has performed at venues ranging from Walt Disney Concert Hall to Coachella, frequently collaborating with Danny Elfman.
A collaborative initiative between the FSU College of Music and the School of Theatre, Preview@FSU provides a two-week residency for professional writers to workshop new musicals, offering students the unique educational experience of participating in the developmental process of a world-class production.
By bridging the gap between professional creators and student performers, the program fosters a vibrant environment for storytelling and artistic growth. Now in its third year, Preview@FSU continues its tradition of excellence following the successful workshops of Show Me Eternity (2024) and Amelia and Me (2025).
