  1. Perform a prepared solo of your choice with piano accompaniment. Select a piece that will allow you to demonstrate your ability to sing legato with expression. The piece should be in a comfortable range. An accompanist will be provided.
  2. Sing your vocal part to prepared excerpts from Jake Runestad’s “Peace of Wild Things.” The excerpts and “exercises” are linked above. The purpose is to determine your personal preparation skills—be prepared to demonstrate accurate pitches and rhythms as well as articulation and phrasing as indicated in the score.
  3. Sing vocal exercises to display aural/vocal skills
  4. Sight reading
  5. Interview

Auditioning indicates that you agree to participate in the following events and that you are willing to rent an outfit (approximately $40) for the group:

Class meeting time
: 2:30-3:20 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays

Required additional rehearsals:

Rehearsal Retreat in September

Spring Break tour (March 16-20, 2019) to Florida and Puerto Rico (approximately $300).
