They will take an analysis class, daily voice masterclass, daily elective class, and participate in a men’s or women’s finale group. Singers can choose an elective class topic of conducting, musicianship or popular styles. See below for a full sample class schedule.
Evening Activities
Music rehearsals take place on most evenings from 7pm-9:30pm. On Wednesday evening, recreation activities are planned. A sample evening schedule can be found below, and the official evening schedule will be provided two weeks before camp begins.
Performance Opportunities
Camp will conclude with two final performances; an Ensembles Concert on Friday evening at 7:00pm, and a Choir Concert on Saturday at 9:00am. Families are welcome to attend both performances.
Honors Solo Recital
Rising 11th, rising 12th graders, and graduated seniors may choose to audition (at check-in) for the Honors Solo Recital. Select singers will perform a solo piece at a special concert on Thursday evening at 7:00pm. These students will also be assigned to the Class Voice elective, in lieu of the elective class, where they will have the opportunity to work on their piece.
Honors Chamber Choir
Rising 11th graders, rising 12th graders, and graduating seniors may choose to audition (at check-in) for the optional, Honors Chamber Choir. Selected singers will rehearse with this ensemble in lieu of an elective class, and will perform with the Chamber Choir at the Saturday morning concert.
