CECILY NALL, Assistant Professor of Voice, joined the FSU faculty in 2004. As an international leading soprano, she has appeared throughout the United States with the San Francisco Opera, Opera Theater of Saint Louis, Baltimore Opera, Cincinnati Opera, Atlanta Opera, Opera Memphis, Indianapolis Opera, West Palm Beach Opera, Utah Opera, and Florentine Opera, among others. In Europe, Ms. Nall was engaged as a principal artist with the Stadttheater Aachen and Stadttheater Darmstadt and appeared as a guest artist with a number of German theaters including those in Leipzig, Dortmund, Mannheimn, Hannover, Wiesbaden,Wuerzburg,and Bielefeld. Additional international appearances have included performances as Zerbinetta in Ariadne auf Naxos at the Festival Dei Due Mondi in Spoleto, Italy, and in Santiago, Chile, singing the role of Blondchen in Die Entfuerung aus dem Serail with the Teatro Municipal. On the concert stage, Ms. Nall has appeared with the Cincinnati, Columbus, Kentucky, Dayton, and Nashville Symphony Orchestras among others. Additionally, she has sung recitals in Atlanta, Birmingham, and Cincinnati. Cecily Nall first attracted attention as a winner of the Metropolitan Opera, Baltimore Opera, and Eleanor Steber Voice Competitions. She began her professional performing career as a member of the Cincinnati Opera Young American Artists Program and Ensemble Company of the Cincinnati Opera. A native of Georgia, she is an alumna of the Brevard Music Center in Brevard, North Carolina, Berry College and the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.
