These are items physically owned by the music library, as opposed to electronic resources. They are divided into several collections. See our policies page for loan periods of the various collections.
Books
(ML, MT) - Over 20,000 circulating items covering all aspects of music.
Scores
(M) - Circulating printed music; approximately 65,000 items.
Recordings
Sound and video recordings in a variety of formats; roughly 36,500 CD and LP recordings and 1,300 DVD, VHS, or laserdisc videos, plus others in less common formats.
Periodicals
Nearly 1,200 print journals and magazines.
Reference and Library Research
Standard reference works, collected editions, historical series, facsimiles, and other items which remain in the library for the use of all patrons; roughly 6,700 items.
Microforms
Over 2,000 condensed printings of books, periodicals, etc.
