Submitting Your Recital Program
Schedule Your Event - You must schedule your event with LEE SMITH (LON 202; 644-2705) to reserve a hall. If your event has not been scheduled on Lee’s calendar, we will not be able to accept your program materials.
Submit Your Program via Email - Programs must be submitted at least TWO WEEKS prior to your event. Please do not wait to pass your jury before sending in your program materials. Attach your program information (as either a Word or raw text (i.e. Notepad) document) to an email addressed to Music-Publicity@admin.fsu.edu. (And yes, the “admin” part is important!) In the body of the email, please be sure to include your contact information, including your current phone number and the name of your applied teacher. Please provide all information as a single column; see the following example as a guideline for program submission:
|
Your Name, instrument
Day, Date, Year PROGRAM
Title of Composition, Op., No., Collection and/or date of composition (as appropriate) (If it is a joint recital, please indicate the performer under each composition.) Repeat for each composition. Insert the word INTERMISSION where appropriate. Indicate the type of recital (SENIOR RECITAL; MASTER’S SOLO RECITAL; etc.). Large ensembles (Symphonic Band, Choirs, etc.) should send one email which follows the above format and includes all program notes and personnel. |
You are responsible for proofreading your program. An attempt will be made to notify you via email when your program is ready for review. You must claim your proof copy and return at least one week before your performance date - please review this copy with your professor before returning it to the Publicity Office.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Publicity Office at
Music-Publicity@admin.fsu.edu.
